I found a fat, fuzzy, yellow bumblebee at the front door, but he flew away before I could get a photo. On the way up, I noticed myself in the door knob.
It was a lovely walk home from the bus stop today after work. Not only did we have a Canucks game to look forward to, but the weather was the complete opposite of what we had yesterday. This was yesterday:

Wow. It just seems like the day before yesterday that the sun was shining and the temperature was so warm I turned off the heat for the season. Hey wait a minute – that WAS a couple of days ago. Today? I turned the heat back on and many of us were groaning about the cold, mostly. There were a few people mentioning the rain. But mostly, it was the chilliness. BRRRRrrr. Now, I know it could be worse, I believe it was snowing this past weekend in Calgary, and my friend in New Hampshire said they got half a foot of snow last week, so, a little cold in the air is not a big deal.
In the meantime, I’ll just look at these tulips until it warms up again – which, according to the weather website, will happen on April 7th. Hooray! This will give me plenty of time to stitch the Royal Wedding cross stitch.
Uh. This is taking a bit longer than expected. Miles to go before I sleep on that project.
Speaking of which…I’d better get crack-a-lacking!

Another lucky find from our trip to fake Holland. Since we got there after quite a rain storm, there were a few tulips that were disheveled or not quite perfect like all the others. I liked this one as soon as I spotted it – it looks like the pink tulip up front is protecting the littler one behind it. I’m also a big fan of the pink tulips.
Another thing I’m a big fan of? Meditation. I started meditating about a year ago – every morning for 20 minutes. It’s supposed to be a good practice to keep calm during the day. Or at least calmER. I also read it’s good for creativity, so I was hoping it would help me with my photos. I recently picked up a book about meditation that should be called, “Listen to everything EXCEPT your thoughts.” The suggestions include listening to any kind of outside noises – traffic, the hum of a machine, anything non-verbal and give your mind THAT to listen to. Amazing! This is super helpful while riding the bus home from work. It’s very true! I’ve been listening to the bus engine instead of going over and over in my mind how crappy and awful and crowded the stupid bus ride is. And what do you know? I’m not all mad on the bus.
I know! I’m Carol Browne, Bus Buddha. Just kidding. We watched the PBS film, The Buddha, tonight. I think I like the Buddha. And I learned all kinds of stuff about him tonight. And I think we should go to India for photos!

They have some terrific and happy names for the flowers at the Roozengaarde Garden. You just can’t get happier than Yell Cheerfulness! YAY!
I’m taking some time out from my current project – hand sewing a funky pillow. It’s slow going, but it will be worth it. I like sewing this way, but it’s not for the impatient. I need lots of yell cheerfulness for that project. Too bad that name is already taken, or else I’d name the pillow that.
I’ll show you the pillow a bit later. It may be a gift in the near future, so I don’t want to spoil the surprise.
Mike’s more of a stickler for rule following than I am. I’m respectful of most rules. But here’s one I broke on Saturday.
