We spent this afternoon at the Vancouver Police Museum, and man, do I have some photos for you! I’ll post this right now with more to follow…
Not only did we get to hang out in the old city morgue and autopsy room, but we got a tour of Chinatown and Gastown with our guide, Chris Mathieson, who told us all about the history of Vancouver – including stories of brothels! And opium! And Mahjong tiles! All very scandalous, indeed.
And, did you know that after the first Vancouver Police building burned down to the ground in a fire in 1886, the city hall AND police department was just one tent for awhile? True story.
Man, I really wish the cops still wore those big tall hats. They were so dapper.
